About… me
I am a desert creature; resilient, hardened and desperately ALIVE.
Albuquerque is an awful, beautiful, terrible, special place that I am so grateful to have called my home. I began acting there in college and met two life-long collaborators, Axh Brown and Carly Moses. After I graduated, I moved to Chicago for a year (I like to dub that the lost year) and in 2014, I moved to New York and began my journey as an artist in earnest.
I hit the ground running, interning for the New York Neo-Futurists and Theater Mitu. The latter of which then hired me! I began a journey of traveling the world while helping create experimental devised theater. We performed in New York, LA, Abu Dhabi, and Lebanon. I also was apart of their summer intensive in India, it focused on physical theater with an emphasis on the traditional Indian martial art of Kalaripayattu.
Once back in New York, I tumbled fell crashed into the clown world. I studied with Christopher Bayes, Aitor Basauri and many others. Eventually, I made my way to France and learned from the feared great Philippe Gaulier. Clown has become more than a performance technique for me, it’s a way of life. During this time I also studied with Shakespeare and Company in Lenox, Mass. opening my eyes to the glory of classical theater.
In 2018 I dipped a toe in VO, taking a class with Ed Lewis and alarm bells started whirling in my head. THIS IS WHAT I WANT. I had the realization that all my various skills, from Improv to text analysis to breath control, could be utilized and optimized behind the microphone. More importantly, as a non-binary artist I was no longer put into a box due to how the world viewed me. The freedom tasted so sweet. I studied fearlessly with Elizabeth Bunnell, Tina Morasco, Andy Roth, Krizia Bajos, Courtenay Taylor, and Darren Dunstan to name a few. I made my commercial demo with Scott Holst and am now represented by Impressive Talent and Managed by Avanti.
Excited for what’s next!
